Life on the Track in Black and White-

As many would be knowing, photography is my hobby. Yesterday, I was lucky enough to leave college early. As I was waiting for the train, I looked around the station and thought I would capture the life of the track and on the tracks.

This is my first attempt on Black and White photography using a cell phone camera. Hope you all like it. Please do post your thoughts and comments.(Click for full size image)

Midday Blues-

Connecting the country, yet standing alone-

Supporting the country's lifeline, yet neglected and lonely-

Keeping people on track-

The journey is long but smooth-

We are by your side always-

The sun is held up by the traction post-  ;-)

I will stand up even though you may pull me down-

 Patterns-

United we stand-

Storm Cloud patterns

Patterns in Storm Clouds-

This series of images was taken some time back last semester. That was the time, I could go home right after college hours because of the exams. It was around evening time, and a major storm was brewing up. The clouds were low and multi banded. The lower band was fragmented and was moving low and fast when compared to the upper band.

The images was taken from the over bridge in the railway station opposite to my college. It was absolutely thrilling to see the clouds moving so fast and low.

Looks like a Sea Lion swimming below the ice sheet doesnt it? Expect for the fact that it is in the sky. :-)

The cloud band was very menacing and threatened to cover the entire sky. The light effects were awesome.

The turbulent sky in closeup.

New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thoughts about the new year-

Finally, the new year has dawned. Looking back at the previous year, time surely has flied by. Two semesters had gone by in 2010. Life has been full of tough challenges over the past year with some difficulties in studies cropping up, which I was able to solve with the grace of god.

Looking back, the challenges of previous year was,

  1. Failure of Voltage regulators in the satellite project.[Praying hard that the latest circuit will be a success]
  2. Lack of time for attending computer class.[It is stretching way longer than expected. One year overdue to be precise]
  3. Very average GPA.[Got to use a boost regulator ;-) to boost it]
Looking forward to the challenges of the upcoming year,

  1. Getting the voltage regulator up and running.
  2. Completing computer class.
  3. Improving GPA.
  4. Preparation for placements and higher studies.
  5. Preparing for good conferences.
The year ahead is challenging and crucial as the placements will come up and also I need to take decisions regarding my higher studies. Let's see what the gods throw up for me.
